Woodworks! Archery Photo 2010The Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership will again be running a special hourly Sunday service to the Woodworks! Festival at the Forest of Marston Vale on Sunday 4th September.  This year there is a £1 discount on the entry fee for rail passengers!

The first train departs Bedford St. Johns at 11:38, and there are hourly departures thereafter.  All services start and finish at Bedford St. Johns due to engineering work at Bedford Midland.

Woodworks! passengers are asked to alight at Millbrook from which it is a pleasant 15 minute walk on surfaced paths to the Festival site. Alternatively a complimentary shuttle bus will be running from the station to the site all weekend.

The special Sunday service can also be used to travel to the Bletchley Park Armed Forces Weekend & Enigma Reunion. This includes a mini royal tournament involving cadets from all three services, pipe bands and        re-enactments. 20% discount on entry fee for Marston Vale passengers on production of a valid ticket!

Timetables are available from Bedford Midland Station and Bedford Tourist Information Centre or at www.marstonvalecommunityrail.org.uk.

Normal train fares apply. If you are travelling in a group of friends or family the Marston Vale Line is even better value with the GroupSave ticket through which up to four adults can travel for the price of two on off-peak services with up to four children traveling with the group for just £1 each – under 5s go free.
