It’s that time of the year again. Get your tankards and your tastebuds ready for the annual Bedford Beer and Cider Festival, starting tomorrow (Wednesday) and going on all the way until Saturday at the Bedford Corn Exchange.
Now in it’s 36th year, the beverage collection is better than ever. There are more than 100 real ales, and 40 real ciders and perries. There will also be a wide range of draught and bottled beers from foreign lands, including Belgium and Germany.
The opening times are from 4pm to 11pm on Wednesday, and from Thursday to Saturday it is from Midday to 11pm. The entry price does vary. On all days, it’s £1 to enter before 4pm. After 4pm, on Wednesday it’s £2, Thursday £3, Friday £4, and Saturday £2. If you are a CamRA member, it’s free.
Of course, all that time our trains will be running, so if you fancy a tipple you can rely on us to get you home. Remember that the last train leaves Bedford station at 21:56 on all days, so you’ll have to leave early. Bedford is within walking distance of the Corn Exchange.
