Got a post-Olympic hangover? Join the club! But to help you get over the Olympic blues, and to showcase the finest woodworking in the area, the Forest of Marston Vale is hosting its popular annual Woodworks! Festival, and we plan to be there!

In case you didn’t know, Woodworks! is a two-day festival of wood craft, trees, machines, real ale, folk music, and lots of family-friendly fun held at the Forest Centre each year – this year its on Saturday 1st September and Sunday 2nd September. It really is a brilliant day out, and what’s more, we will be there too with our stand, so there’s even more reason to come (not unless you don’t like us :().

This year, you also get a discount on entry if you go by train. Just flash your ticket, and each person with a ticket gets £1 off entry (normal prices are £6 per adult, £4 per child aged between 10 and 16 or concessions, free for under 10s).

Sadly, due to circumstances beyond our control, we won’t be running a Sunday service this year. But we will be running as normal on Saturday. We will also be running a free minibus service from Millbrook Station on 1st September – how genorous are we?
