Walking and Cycling
The abundance of high-quality walking and cycling routes along the rote of the Marston Vale are a brilliant way of exploring the Vale. We have details on a number of recommended walking and cycling routes for you to explore, and are within easy reach of the rail service. Many are circular routes, but some are one way, so you can walk out, and take the train back (or vice-versa).
For ease of reference, we have split the walks and cycle routes down by different sections of the line. These are:
- Bedford and Bedford St Johns
- Kempston Hardwick to Millbrook (inc. Stewartby)
- Lidlington to Woburn Sands (inc. Ridgmont and Aspley Guise)
- Bow Brickhill to Bletchley (inc. Fenny Stratford)
Details of these walks and cycle routes have been kindly provided by Let’s Go, who are promoting walks and cycle routes across Bedfordshire and the Marston Vale.
Walks Guide
The Community Rail Partnership is currently in the process of developing its own local walks guide, showing some of the best walking routes around the vale. We’ll put it up here once its done!
