The Marston Vale Line provides quick access to family attractions
throughout the Marston Vale. So why not take the train on a family
day out? Below are the two attractions that are specifically for
families that are within easy access of the Marston Vale Line. Many
of the other attractions listed on this site are also suitable for
families, so feel free to have a look around!
The Forest Centre and Marston Vale Millennium Country Park
The Forest Centre is the main visitor attraction in
the Marston Vale. The Forest Centre is a conservation centre, set
in the spectacular Millennium Country Park, at Marston Moretaine.
The park and visitors centre are open all year round. And entry's
free! With trouble free access for everyone, the
Forest Centre is great place to explore. For walkers and cyclists,
there are of traffic-free, surfaced footpaths and cycle paths.
There's no need to bring a bike as you can hire one there! The
cycle paths around the park are easily accessible and a great way
to explore the local area and cycling is a great form of exercise
too! So there's lots of benefits from going on the cycle trail -
but if cycling isn't your thing then there is a footpath which
takes the same route. There's a beautiful wetland nature reserve on
the wetland trail and take a peek at the wealth of birdlife around
you, from one of our hides. There is a small adventure playground
for children play in and a wildlife garden that everyone can
enjoy.

While the Forest Centre is indoors, the Country Park is
outdoors.
3. Plan your train journey and buy tickets – You can
check the train times and buy tickets using the Quick Times and
Tickets box to the right. The nearest station is Millbrook (walk
and cycle).
2. Plan your onward journey from the station –
Directions for walking and cycling are given below.
Follow the road to the right. Head through the third gate to the
right into the Marston Vale Millennium Country Park. Follow the
perimeter path to the Forest Centre.

many people's first idea of a day out. But if the weather isn't the
best, or you fancy doing something different, then why not fire up
their imagination and head down to The Kiln in Bedford - a
fantastic place to come and let your creative kids create their own
masterpiece.
