Swimming
Whether you are just taking your kids for their first lesson, or
you are looking to take part as a sport, the Marston Vale Line
provides many opportunities to get involved in swimming. Below are
details of nearby pools, and how to access them.
Bletchley Leisure Centre
Centred in the heart of the Bletchley community,
Bletchley Leisure Centre offers something for everyone. With a
range of different activities, you should find something for you.
Facilities range from 5-a-side football, to Swimming, to Indoor
Bowls. This is a great facility for all the family. Also, the MK
Lions basketball teams play their home games at this
venue.

2. Plan your train journey and buy tickets – You can
check the train times and buy tickets using the Quick Times and
Tickets box to the right. The nearest station is Fenny Stratford
(walk and cycle).
3. Plan your onward journey from the station –
Directions by walk and cycle are given below.
Leave the station via the right hand exit*. Head over the
roundabout, and down Victoria Road. Take the second right, and walk
along Victoria Road. At the end of the road, head left, then head
left again onto Princes Way. The leisure centre is on the left
ahead of you.
* = For step-free access, use the left hand exit, then head right
onto Simpson Road, then right at the top of the road along Watling
Street.
Oasis Beach Pool
Located on the outskirts
of Bedford you will find Bedford's own indoor tropical paradise the
Oasis. The warming sun shines down on to the crystal clear waters
with temperatures into the 80's. They are the pool with a
difference, with waves, flumes, bubbles, water cannon, water
mushroom, bubble beds, bubble burst, and in the summer an outdoor
rapids! There is something for everyone at this popular pool.

Leave the station via the town centre exit. Head across the car
park, and head left at the entrance along Melbourne Street. At the
end of the road, head left alongside Kingsway. At the traffic
lights, cross over, and head right down Cauldwell Street. At the
end of the road, head over the traffic lights, and head down
Cardington Road. At the roundabout, head straight across down the
dual carriageway. At the roundabout, head left. The pool is ahead
of you.
Robinson Pool
Robinson Pool
underwent an award winning refurbishment in 2005 and is now
Bedfordshire’s premier swimming facility; home to
Bedford’s largest pool, and is situated in the stunning
grounds of Bedford Park. There are three pools; the main, 6-lane
competition pool, the diving pool and a beginners teaching pool.
The facility offers something for everybody, from 3 month old
babies to senior citizens, with an all-encompassing programme of
activities designed to cater for the whole community.

At the double mini roundabout, head to the right along Bromham
Road. Take the third left, up Union Street. At the roundabout, head
