Railcards and other discounts
Why pay full price for
train travel when you could qualify for a discounted fare? There
are a number of discounts that can be used on the Marston Vale
Line, mainly for off-peak travel, that could entitle you to
discount travel both on the Marston Vale Line and on the National
Rail network as a whole. Even though some require a yearly payment,
the discounts offered mean that you can earn this amount back in
discounts and more, particularly if you plan to travel frequently
or in a group. Some of these cards can also give you discounts on
meals and cinema tickets, among other offers.
The below tables provide summary details of the types of discounts
that you could be entitled to. Links are provided at the bottom of
the page for more information. To buy a railcard, go to your
nearest manned station (Bedford or Bletchley) to pick up an
application form. Or, in the case of local bus passes, simply
present your bus pass when asked to do so.
