We know that there are some very creative and arty people who use our trains (seriously, just see the number of arts folders on the school train). So for those who do dabble in a bit of creativity this weekend’s Almanac Festival by Bedford Creative Arts may be just up your street.

Missed off of this weeks Something for the Week (sorry about that), this is a weekend festival dedicated to the arts. So you can see a pop-up cinema, be a musical instrument, talk with the artists, see some “pop-up” art, and even meet a Town Crier. The festivities kick off on Friday night where the BCA Building at 1 St Pauls Square will be laced with light and sound (and a couple of drinks). Events then run all weekend – most of which are free.

As always, we are happy to provide the transport on Friday and Saturday. All venues are a short walk from Bedford and Bedford St Johns stations, with most events finishing before the last train leaves.

We will Tweet and Facebook each of the events on each day of the festival, but if you can’t wait for that a full list of events can be found on the BCA’s website.
