Welcome to the award winning Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership!
Welcome to the
website of the Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership, the home of
the Marston Vale Line on the internet!
The Marston Vale railway is a small rural railway running through
the heart of the beautiful Marston Vale countryside between Bedford
in Bedfordshire, and Bletchley in Buckinghamshire. As well as being
the main public transport link in the area, the hourly train
service provides access to jobs, schools, and leisure facilities in
the Marston Vale.
On this website, you can find out about the rail service, buy
tickets, and find out what to do in the countryside and in the
town, among other things! You can also discover a little
about the Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership (that's us).
We hope you have a pleasant visit, and look forward to seeing you
on board soon!
Next Major Event - Marston Vale Line Santa Specials (Saturday 13th December)
Despite being busy finalising his naughty and nice lists, Santa
has once again spared some of his precious time for our annual Santa Specials.
So, if you want to to pay him a visit before he visits you on Christmas night, then
catch the train from your local station on Saturday 13th December. Santa has finally
found somewhere to park Rudolph and his pals, so we can confirm that he will be on the
following trains:
09:59 from Bletchley, calling at all stations
10:51 from Bedford, calling at all stations
11:59 from Bletchley, calling at all stations
12:51 from Bedford, calling at all stations
Santa also plans to bring a face-painter along, and there will also be refreshments
on the train.
There will be no extra charge to see Santa, so normal train fares apply.
If you are thinking of taking the family, then ask for
Groupsave when buying your tickets.
Keep up to date with Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership events that you can travel to by train by signing up to our e-bulletin. Simply e-mail us on to sign up!

Featured Section - Getting to School
The Marston Vale Line
has always been very popular with school children travelling to and
from school. A significant number of school children do use the
service each and every morning to get to the schools of Bedford,
and to a lesser extent Bletchley.
We are keen to work with parents, schools, and kids, to rediscover
their local railway as a means of getting to and from school. This
section of the site provides information to help do this.
