Education and Training
No matter what your age, you never stop learning. So why not make
your learning more formal. Education providers close to the Marston
Vale Line offer plenty of Post-16 education, from short courses, to
apprenticeships, right through to degrees and PhD's.
Below are the details of the education providers that provide
post-16 education and training, and links to courses that they
offer. Your local JobCentrePlus or Connexions office may also be

Bedford College
Bedford College is
one of the most successful Further Education Colleges in the UK,
and student life here is full of opportunity. If you're looking for
somewhere that you can meet like-minded people, express your ideas
and find encouragement to reach your goals then Bedford College is
the place to be.
The college offers a vast range of courses, ranging from A-Levels
to Diplomas, right through to Foundation Degrees. These courses can
be studied full or part time, and some evening classes are offered.

Directions (walking): Get off the train at Bedford St Johns
station. Leave via the left hand exit, and head across the car
park. Head left at the car park entrance, then head left at the end
of the road. Cross over the traffic lights, and head to the right.

Milton Keynes College
Milton Keynes
College is the largest provider of further education and training
in Milton Keynes and North Buckinghamshire. The College provides a
full range of academic, vocational, work based (Apprenticeships),
professional courses and Solutions for Business. Each campus runs
full-time and part-time courses in the day and during the evening,
based on a combination of vocational, educational and training
needs at a variety of levels.
Most of the courses are run from the Bletchley and Chaffron Way
campuses. The former is literally opposite Bletchley
station, whilst the latter can be accessed by bus from Bletchley.

University of Bedfordshire
The
University of Bedfordshire is one the country's newest
Universities. The University was created in August 2006 following
the merger between the University of Luton and De Montford
University’s Bedford campus, and since that time has achieved
outstanding success. The University was runner up for University of
the Year in the Times Higher Education Supplement Awards. Boasting
new facilities, high quality teaching, and a wide variety of
courses, there is no reason not to consider them.
The University has one campus in Bedford. The Bedford campus is
accessed by a free shuttle bus, for use only by staff and students,
that operates from Bedford station.
