Special Sunday service to Woodworks!

The Forest CentreFor the third year running, the Marston Vale Line will be running a Sunday Special Train service to serve the Woodworks! Festival at the Forest Centre, Marston Moretaine, which takes place on the weekend of Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September 2009.

Woodworks!, which will take place a short distance away from Millbrook station. This annual celebration of woodworking is a fantastic, fun-filled weekend of entertainment for all the family, dedicated to trees, wood and woodland. Current plans include many exhibitors, a live battlefield, and live music.

The timetable for the Sunday service will be published on this website as soon as it becomes available. On the Saturday, trains will operate as per the current timetable (PDF, 68kb).

Stephen Sleight, Transport Officer, said "A Sunday Special for the Woodworks! Festival is now a key part of the CRP's Calendar. I would encourage everybody to make full use of this service not just to access Woodworks!, but also for days out, walks and cycle rides, and of course to access a series of Marston Vale walks planned as part of the Bedfordshire Walking Festival. If you are taking the family, remember to ask for a Groupsave ticket for extra discounts on travel."
