Avoid the traffic jams to the River Festival and Ugly Bug Ball and let the train take the strain!

Bedford River FestivalWe are pleased to announce that we will be running special train services on TWO consectuive weekends to co-incide with two very popular local events; the Bedford River Festival in Bedford and the Ugly Bug Ball at the Forest Centre.

On the weekend of the 12th and 13th of July, we will be serving the Bedford River Festival. An hourly service will be operating throughout the day on the Marston Vale line between Bletchley and Bedford on the Saturday. Hop off at the official Festival Station Bedford St. Johns for the short walk along the river to the Festival Site.

For those of you who want to watch the spectacular fireworks display on Saturday night, a special Fireworks Flyer service will be leaving Bedford for Bletchley after the fireworks at 11:10 p.m. on the Saturday evening calling at all stations on the Marston Vale line.

If that wasn't enough for you a special hourly service will be running on Sunday 13th July between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The cheap day return fare between Bletchley and Bedford is just £5.10 with children between 5 and 15 travelling at £2.55 (under 5s go free). You can save even more with the London Midland GroupSave ticket, where you can buy four cheap day returns for the price of two! Up to four children can travel with the group for just £1 each.

If one weekend of Special trains was not enough for you, then we are also planning a special Sunday service the weekend after (Sunday 20th July) to serve the Ugly Bug Ball at the Forest Centre. A special hourly service will run between 10am and 5pm, calling at all stations. Just hop off at Millbrook station, and walk through the beautiful Marston Vale Millennium Country Park to get to the Forest Centre.

As a special incentive, any person who travels by train to the Ugly Bug Ball gets a £1 discount off the entry fee. You can also take advantage of the same fare offers as the Bedford River Festival.
