As we haven’t done one for a while, we thought that we would give you a quick update on progress with Ridgmont station, and it is good news all around.
Our contractors, Meadsway, are currently on the ground and cracking on with the work to deliver the interior renovations. As they are doing such a good job, we are confident that we will be able to open the station building in the Summer. Once we have a definate date we will let you know.
We are still looking for some volunteer stewards to help us man the Heritage Centre once the building is open. All offers of help will be gratefully accepted, and you can make them to the CRP Officer. Also, any offers of exhibits to show a little bit of local railway history would also be appreciated – we’ll be gentle with them!
The other part of the station building is offices, which will be available to rent once we open the building. We’ll post more details soon, but if you want to enquire about these then email the CRP Officer.
We are cracking on with the works now, so keep coming back for more updates.
