We start off with an event we have promoted all week, as Saturday is the last day of the Bedford Beer and Cider Festival. Come along and enjoy all the tipples from local breweries – some of them taste lovely! It takes place in the Corn Exchange between 11am and 11:30pm, though you will have to leave earlier to get the last train back. The Corn Exchange is within 15 minutes walking distance of both Bedford and Bedford St Johns.

If you want a very unique event, why not go to the Bring and Sing at St Andrews Church? Led by Ian Smith, this is an event not to be missed! Registration starts at 1:45pm, with rehearsals starting at 2:30pm, and the main performance at 7:30pm. Tickets cost from £3. The nearest station to the church, on Kimbolton Road, is Bedford.

Those with green fingers are in luck. The Priory Wildlife Watch Group need some help with their conservation activities. Meet at Priory Country Park at 2pm, and the cost is £2. The nearest station is Bedford.

Onto sporting action now, and the Milton Keynes Dons have a relatively easy tie at home to Portsmouth. Kick off at stadium:MK is at 3pm, with the nearest station being Fenny Stratford. At the other end of the line, Bedford Blues welcome Plymouth to Goldington Road, kick off at 3pm. The nearest station is Bedford.

If nuptials are on the horizon for you, then the Milton Keynes Wedding Show at thecentre:MK may just be for you. It has over 130 exhibitors and catwalk shows covering dresses, suits, venues, anything really! Admission is free, and it lasts all day.

That’s everything for another week. As always, check out the Days Out section for our regular attractions. Until next week…
