Community Rail Awards 2013

Last night, representatives from the partnership took the long trip to Llandudno in North Wales to attend the annual Community Rail Awards (in fact, I’m using the Virgin Trains Wifi to post this while travelling home – the wonders of 21st Century rail travel). As you know, we were up for an award – the Best Innovative use of IT to promote Community Rail. And the winner was…

…not us sadly, but we came a very respectable 2nd place, which we are bloody chuffed with – as you can see from the below picture with me and Stephen! The websites of the Furness and Lakes Lines won the award, and to be fair their work is pretty darn good, so a worthy winner.
