Our friends at the Association of Community Rail Partnerships have been busy (as always) and recently they published a report called The Value of Community Rail.
Not to blow our own trumpet, but we did help out a little bit with the report. But the important thing is that Community Rail Partnerships are a very good thing indeed:
- A community rail route usually sees an additional 2.8% growth in passengers per annum.
- The economic benefits of partnerships more than pay for their costs.
- 250,000 volunteer hours are given to Community Rail Partnerships every year.
Not bad eh?
