On Monday in Bedford there is a special talk being held by the Bedford National Trust Association on Detecting Forged Antiques, part of their regular programme of talks. The talk starts at 7pm, and it is £3 for non-members. The talk takes place at the Addison Centre, which is a bus ride from Bedford St Johns station.

On Tuesday, the Bedford Humanists are hosting a discussion on Prison versus Community Sentencing. Sorry, we have no other information on this event at the moment. But we do know that it is starting at 7pm, it costs £2 to enter, and is taking place at The Retirement Education Centre in Rothsay Gardens. The nearest station is Bedford, which is within walking distance.

Meanwhile, over at the Bedford School there is the Choral and Orchestral Music Concert 2013. This is the second concert in collaboration with the professional vocal group Voces8. The school Chamber Orchestra will be performing a selection of pieces to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Benjamin Britten’s birth. Prices are £8 for tickets, £4 for students, and it starts at 7:30pm. The nearest station is Bedford, within walking distance

If you are culinary minded, then on Thursday you may want to attend a free talk on The history of Italian Cooking. Christine Felini runs an Italian cookery school and will talk you through the various twists and turns in its history, including some great recipes. Its a completely free event, starting at 11am in the Forest Centre. The nearest station is Millbrook, a beautiful walk away.

On Saturday, the place to be is in Campbell Park, Milton Keynes to Discover Reptiles and Amphibians. This is a short course for adults introducing you to the world of reptiles and amphibians in Milton Keynes. The price is £15, you do need to book online first, and the event runs between 10am and 4pm. It takes place at Campbell Park Pavilion, a bus ride from Milton Keynes Central station.

Finally, over in Bedford you can enjoy some top class rugby as Bedford Blues face the Newcastle Falcons. The kick off is at 3pm, and if you book online you can get a discount on the ticket price. The nearest station to Goldington Road is Bedford, a walk away.
