Bedford Charter MarketAlthough the line is only 16 miles long, you will be very surprised on exactly how much goes on in the Marston Vale. Not only do we and Bedford to Bletchley Rail Users Association hold our own events during the year, but there are a vast array of local events that take place every month.

Saturday 11th October

Oxford to Cambridge Remembered
An illustrated talk by Author Bill Simpson at 3pm at the Methodist Church Hall, Woburn Sands. Prior booking requested. Admission is �4 adult and �3 concessions - payable to 'Bedford to Bletchley Rail Users' Association' to: BBRUA, 23 Hatfield Crescent, Bedford MK41 9RA. Admission price includes a Cream Tea during the interval.

BBRUA talks are always very popular events. With plans to reopen the route moving along, this talk could not be more topical!

Saturday 1st November

Marston Vale Ghost Train
Come and experience the Marston Vale 'ghost trains' ...if you dare! Look carefully and you may see scary spirits and ghastly ghouls aboard the 4:36, 5:36 and 6:21 departures from Bedford Midland station.
Dress up and you can collect a special goody bag on the train - the Fancy Dress Express! Simply join the train at any of the station served by the Marston Vale line. There is no additional fee for the Ghost Train and no need to book, just turn up!

Simply hop on at your local station!

A great day out for the kids, and a good way to get into the Halloween spirit!

Saturday 25th October

Bletchley Park Blitznight
The annual spectacular fireworks display at Bletchley Park. Fairground rides are available and a variety of hot food.

A great firework display at an affordable price, that is within easy reach of the Marston Vale Line.

Thursday 11th December

BBRUA Christmas Special
An evening of classic railway films & seasonal refreshments at Lidlington Village Hall. Starts at 7pm.

Saturday 13th December

Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership Santa Specials
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. – come and visit Santa in his grotto on the train! Goody bag for each child. No additional charge, normal train fares apply..

Simply pick up the train from the nearest Marston Vale Line station!

A popular annual train just in time for Christmas. The kids will love Santa and the gifts he brings!

Saturday 13th December

Bletchley Park Christmas Extravaganza
An event for all the family including Woburn Sands Band, the CK Gospel Choir, lantern parade, Santa and his sleigh, children’s fairground rides and festive fayre. Admission fees are just £2 for adults and £1 for children. The fun starts at 5pm.
