Well, it’s that time of year again. Millbrook station has its bunting (thanks to the Friends of Millbrook Station for that), the woodworkers are preparing their tools, and the wood is being, well, wood. Woodworks! is back, and its bigger and better than ever. If you haven’t seen our previous posts on the subject, Woodworks! is a two-day festival of wood craft, trees, machines, real ale, folk music, and lots of family-friendly fun held at the Forest Centre. It is certainly one of the highlights of the Marston Vale year!
Getting to Woodworks! this year is really easy. Both Millbrook and Stewartby stations border the Country Park, but even more important is the fact that when you flash your rail ticket, you get £1 off entry for using the train. How brilliant is that?
In case that wasn’t enough, we will also be running a free minibus service between Millbrook Station and the Forest Centre on Saturday. These buses, are also timed to meet the trains.
Sadly, we won’t be running a Sunday service this year. These are due to circumstances beyond our control, so we’re really sorry about that!
Oh, and did we mention that we will be there on Saturday? Come and visit our stand to find out more about us and what we do. We always like to meet both familiar and new faces, so we look forward to seeing you there.
