Train Timetable
There is an hourly service Monday – Saturday running between 05:17 & 21:45 from Bletchley (21:32 on Saturdays) and 06:10 & 22:38 from Bedford (06:15 & 22:19 on Saturdays).
17 trains run daily in each direction on a largely clockface timetable.
There are no services on Sundays. Services usually operate on Bank Holidays except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Rail tickets can be purchased from the conductor on the train by cash or card. Tickets can also be purchased from any staffed rail station by cash or card or the Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) at each Marston Vale Line station (card only). Tickets purchased via London Northwestern Railway can be collected at staffed station or any TVM.
Connections
Change at Bletchley for services to Milton Keynes Central, Northampton, Birmingham New Street, Leighton Buzzard, Watford Junction & London Euston.
Change at Bedford for services to Luton, St Albans, London St Pancras International, Brighton, Kettering, Leicester & Nottingham.
Fare Discounts and Season Tickets
Railcards
Railcard holders travel for a third off. Please visit National Rail Railcards or collect a leaflet from any staffed station or Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre.
Senior Saver
Bedfordshire Bus Pass holders travel for half price travel after 10:00 on weekdays and all day on Saturday and Bank Holidays.
GroupSave
Groups of 3 to 9 adults travel for a third off with GroupSave.
Season Tickets
Season tickets are a great option for passengers making the same journey three or more times a week. In addition to being cheaper per journey than daily tickets, they also provide unlimited travel for the route concerned. Please see here >
Student Season Tickets
Discounted season tickets are available for students as follows:
- Students aged 16 or over: 50% discount on the usual adult season ticket price
- Students aged under 15: 25% discount on the usual child season ticket price
Tickets are valid for a whole term and provide unlimited travel between two specific stations. Please see here >
Industrial Action and Rail Replacement Buses
Services are unlikely to operate when industrial action is taking place on the London Northwestern Railway network. Please see the National Rail website.

Refunds for delayed journeys of 15 minutes or more can be claimed from the London Northwestern Railway Delay Repay Scheme.
