A temporary timetable will continue this week

A temporary timetable will continue this week whilst Network Rail continues to investigate the faulty level crossings at Marston Road, Lidlington, Green Lane, Stewartby, and Kempston Hardwick.

Speed restrictions remain in place at these crossings. Trains will depart at the usual times, but will not be able to call at Millbrook or Lidlington.

A replacement bus service will run between Ridgmont and Stewartby and vice-versa as this week. Additional bus services will be provided to connect with the trains starting and terminating at Ridgmont.

From Monday the 07:32 from Bletchley will terminate at Ridgmont, and the 08:19 from Bedford will start at Ridgmont. This has been introduced to tackle the problems with late running this last week.

The middle of the day services in blue on the timetable may also start or terminate at Ridgmont depending on freight trains.
Buses will leave 20 minutes earlier than the usual train time.

The timetable allows 10 minutes between the arrival of the bus and departure of the train and vice-versa. Buses will be held if the train is running late.

Members of the Abellio Rail Replacement Team are on duty at Ridgmont and Stewartby to assist passengers.

Marston Road crossing is due to reopen next week.

Passengers are asked to take extra care when using the footpath crossings in the Millbrook & Lidlington area due to the trains running through at a higher speed than normal.
